Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies we use, and how you can control them.

Last updated 28 July 2026

What this policy covers

The Natural Curriculum (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the The Natural Curriculum website and app. This policy explains what they are, how we use them, and the choices you have.

By continuing to use the site or app, you agree to the use of cookies as described in this policy. You can change your cookie preferences or withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how people use the service. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and web beacons.

Essential cookies

Some cookies are necessary for the site and app to function. These include session and authentication cookies that keep you signed in and maintain your account security. Because they are essential, they cannot be turned off without affecting your ability to use the service.

Analytics and performance

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors move through the site, which pages are most useful, and where people drop off. This helps us improve the quiz, the handbook, and the app experience.

Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address (often anonymised), device type, browser, pages visited, and referring site. Google may also set its own cookies. You can learn more and opt out at Google’s opt-out page.

Functional cookies

We use local storage to remember your UTM parameters (so a promotional offer you clicked remains attached to your visit), your quiz progress, and UI preferences such as dismissed banners. These are stored on your device and are not sent to our servers.

Payment and checkout cookies

When you purchase The Natural Learning Handbook, our reseller Paddle.com processes the transaction. Paddle may place cookies required for fraud prevention, payment security, and checkout functionality. These are governed by Paddle’s Privacy Policy.

Third-party services

We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies. The only third-party services that may set cookies are:

  • Google Analytics, for usage analytics;
  • Paddle, for payment processing and checkout security.

Managing your cookies

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. You can also use private-browsing modes or install tracker-blocking extensions. Keep in mind that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from signing in, saving quiz results, or completing a purchase.

Changes and contact

We may update this Cookie Policy as our service or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. If you have questions, contact us at hello@thenaturalcurriculum.com.
